After an extensive fashion career in New York and Paris, the Irish-American writer returned to the US to raise her two daughters with her husband in Connecticut. A graduate of Colby College, Lorna’s writing journey began with a historical screenplay of Mozart’s sister and then a young adult thriller, The Butterfly and the Web which will be available in late 2024. Her latest book, Lost in Lombardy, is available on Amazon and is based on a true story and published by West Cork Publishing.
Over the years, Lorna attended several writing conferences, took courses at Curtis Brown Creative, and learned to appreciate the value of skillful writing. Some of her favorite reads include any book by Ottessa Moshfegh, Kevin Barry, Vendela Vida, Kevin Wilson, and Charlotte Bronte.
Besides writing, Lorna divides her time between New York City and Dublin, Ireland. She is the President of the Board of Directors of the Friends of American Section of the Lycée International de Saint-Germain-en-Laye, an institution ranked among France’s top ten schools.
