Meet Lorna

After an extensive fashion career in New York and Paris, the Irish-American writer returned to the US to raise her two family while house hopping between Dublin and New York. A graduate of Colby College, Lorna’s writing journey began with a historical screenplay of Mozart’s sister, Nannerl, then to her memoir turned fiction novel, Lost in Lombardy. Her new thriller, The Butterfly and the Web, will be available February 2025.

Over the years, Lorna attended several writing conferences, took courses at Curtis Brown Creative, and learned to appreciate the value of skillful writing. Some of her favorite authors include Ottessa Moshfegh, Kevin Barry, Vendela Vida, Kevin Wilson, and Charlotte Bronte.

Besides writing, Lorna is the President of the Board of Directors of the Friends of American Section of the Lycée International de Saint-Germain-en-Laye, an institution that is ranked among France’s top ten schools.
